ABOUT THIS SHOW
Ensemble Theatre Company is delighted to present Aaron Sorkin’s breakthrough stage production A Few Good Men, opening July 13, 2018. First produced on Broadway in 1989 and inspiring the Academy Award-nominated film of the same name, Sorkin's gripping script tells the story of two US Marines accused of murder, and the lawyers who uncover a conspiracy that quickly escalates to the highest ranks of the military.
Based on true events that transpired at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in July 1986, A Few Good Men is a riveting courtroom drama that poses questions directly pertinent in our world today: what do we risk as a society as our reliance on the military increases? Should civilian oversight be eliminated in favour of a self-governing military that is answerable only to its own code of honour? How may we, as citizens and as a country, conduct ourselves honourably? A hit on the Broadway stage and on-screen, A Few Good Men is as timely and challenging today as the day it was written.
